On the afternoon of May 22, 2025, at the Dream Dragon Resort in the Dragon Ocean Do Son International Tourist Area (Do Son, Hai Phong), the Inaugural Ceremony of the Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association took place in a solemn atmosphere. The event gathered hundreds of delegates from the Clan Councils, Vu – Vo Business Associations and Clubs nationwide, along with many distinguished guests representing allied clans. This marked a significant milestone, signaling a strong transformation of the clan’s business community—from a club model to an official association with a clear scale, orientation, and mission.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. DSc. People’s Teacher Vu Minh Giang – Chairman of the Vu – Vo Clan Council of Vietnam, along with members of the Advisory Board, Executive Committee of the Council, Information and Communications Board, and numerous representatives from various provinces and cities.
The ceremony was held on a grand scale, marking a strategic milestone: the transformation from a business club model to the official Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association, directly under the Vu – Vo Clan Council of Vietnam. This change is not merely in name but reflects a new vision with a well-structured organization, clear development orientation, and a commitment to accompany the clan’s business community nationwide. With the mission of “Networking – Developing – Serving,” the Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association affirms its role as a spiritual foundation and a solid bridge for Vu – Vo clan enterprises in the era of integration and innovation.

Notably, the inauguration was organized under the close direction and comprehensive support of the Vu – Vo Clan Council of Vietnam, led by Prof. DSc. People’s Teacher Vu Minh Giang. The Council has always shown deep concern for networking and developing businesspeople within the clan. Beyond being the direct governing body, the Council also plays a strategic guiding role, provides spiritual sponsorship, and accompanies the Business Association through every stage of its development.

Receiving the trust of the Vu – Vo Clan Council of Vietnam, the Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association was officially established under Decision No. 18/QD-HDDH-2025 and Decision No. 39/QD-HDDH-2025 dated February 8, 2025.

Operational Orientations and Leadership Expectations
At the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Vu Van Hau — Chairman of the Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association — highlighted the role of the Association as a shared home for the Vu – Vo clan’s business community, a place where tradition meets innovation, and where each member can collaboratively create value for both the clan and the country. He emphasized that the Association not only inherits the achievements of the previous club model but also aspires to a new stature that is more strategic and sustainable.

Also at the event, Mr. Vu Nguyen Thai — Standing Vice Chairman of the Association and Chairman of the Vu – Vo Clan Council of Hai Phong City — delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing the more than 30-year journey of building and developing the clan organization in Hai Phong. He recounted notable spiritual projects contributed by clan descendants, especially the Vu – Vo Ancestral Temple in Hai Phong — a significant spiritual and cultural construction, invested on a large scale with a total value of nearly 100 billion VND. These efforts reflect the close bond between the business community and clan-serving activities, promoting traditional culture in modern life.

Representing the Executive Committee, Mr. Vu Hai Ninh — Vice Chairman cum General Secretary — outlined the Association’s operational directions for the coming period according to three strategic phases:
- Phase I – Building the Foundation: Focus on consolidating the organization, completing the executive system, and establishing a transparent, professional regulatory framework; simultaneously, gradually develop the member network across localities.
- Phase II – Pillar of Development: Implement programs supporting businesspeople, facilitate trade promotion, connect investment, share resources and knowledge, and enhance the competitiveness of member enterprises.
- Phase III – Connecting and Serving: Expand cross-sector cooperation, actively contribute to community activities, education and academic encouragement, promote clan cultural values, and accompany the sustainable development of the country.

Prof. DSc. People’s Teacher Vu Minh Giang, on behalf of the Advisory Board, expressed deep emotion and strong expectations for the Association. In his speech, he elaborated on the profound meaning of the couplets: “Nhân trí truyền Gia muôn đời thịnh – Đồng tâm dựng nghiệp vạn sự thành” (Wisdom passed down ensures the family’s prosperity for generations – United hearts build a career with all endeavors succeeding), presenting it as a message of inheritance and promotion of the spiritual legacy of the ancestors. He expressed his hope that the Vietnam Vu – Vo Business Association would become a central hub connecting the clan’s exemplary business leaders, not only thriving in the era of integration but also contributing to the preservation of cultural identity, spreading humanitarian values, and jointly building a sustainable future for the country.
